Bodegas Bocopa has its headquarters in Petrer some 50 kilometers from the capital of Alicante. This commercial winery was founded in 1987 at Petrer by 8 Co-operatives with 2,000 members. Its new facilities allow them to make, age and package wines under ideal conditions both in respect to control and handling, with high-tech facilities that are well insulated and free of all micro-organisms.

Viña Alcanta Blanco Merseguera/Macabeo 2008 (750mL)
Macabeo is mostly planted in Spain's northern regions, in the Mediterranean coastal region of Alicante the profile is slightly more floral in character with fine breadth and medium richness with low acidity and an almost saline character on the finish. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to pair the Macabeo with the Merseguera grape, which gives good acidity but by itself it does not lend too much flavor. You'll find a clean, almost saline-quality, delicate green apple scents that lead to crisp and bright flavors of lime flesh, green apple, and mineral with a refreshing finish. This will be perfect with tapas like olives, salted almonds, mussels and even anchovies. Great value!

Alcanta Tempranillo 2007 (750mL)
A medium-weight Tempranillo with good clean, bright red fruit showing aromas of cherry, plum, faint notes of black pepper and a touch of earthiness. This is a great everyday red that is not over manipulated, well-restrained and balanced. The texture is satisfying with a pleasant framework of tannins. It shows no signs of heat (alcohol) on the finish; instead, it has an uplifting acidity that brightens the wine.

Laudum Nature Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 (750mL)
The wine shows a lovely fullness with a natural bouquet, clean aromas, with hints of wild thyme, basil, together with a touch of sage which expresses the nature of Alicante. Laudum Cabernet Sauvignon is a young organic red wine with a powerful aroma of red currants and raspberries mixed with dark, and spices notes. Located in the southern part of Spain due south of Valencia where the soil most limestone with small amounts of clay and alluvial material.

Laudum Nature Petit Verdot 2006 (750mL)
The grape really has made itself at home in southern Spain, showing big fruit, warmth, power, structure and complexity on the finish. Laudum is Bodegas Bocopa’s top-quality range. The wine is made from grapes that come from traditional grown vines of 20+ years old with very low yields. A wine that is almost black in color with intense notes of prunes, licorice, smoke, leather and blackberries mixed with notes of wild herbs and tobacco.
